October.

How is everyone doing? I rarely get a chance to update this as much as I’d like to considering how much I paid for this thing! Alot has happened since the last time I updated my blog – I got a chance to take my film to Jessops to be put on a C.D and I also turned 21! I’ve had alot of work at college and we have a huge hand in which is to be completed by the 16th of November, which seems quite far away but for us photographers not really! I’ve had a couple of tests on Monochrome processing which I’ve passed and I’ve also got a couple coming up. For my 21st I got my make up done at Dior which was amazing as I felt like a celebrity walking up Glasgow to get my train and I headed upto Edinburgh for my night out. My lovely friend got me a Thomas Sabo bracelet with a ’21’ charm which also had a little  horse show attached to it which was so nice. Edinburgh was a great night out and enjoyed I enjoyed it alot. I also received a nice birthday card from my cousin in Canada which had a lovely cheque attached it to which I really wasn’t expecting.

Hopefully by the end of November I will have two new purchases which include a nice camera ( hopefully ) and also the new Iphone 4s with my new upgrade! I haven’t done many photoshoots ( my bond so strong project ) as the weather has been horrible and the days I’m busy it’s really nice!! ANNOYING. I’ve also worked with Adrian this past couple of weeks attending weddings which was a alot of fun and I learned alot. The wedding on Friday was amazing and the bride looked amazing – we also set up the portable studio Adrian owns and we sold a few images and also got hilarious ones of the guests.

If you visit my Facebook page I’ve uploaded photographs so far from my film camera.

July has been a really busy month with me, I have been working at my non photography job and also working with Adrian Sinclair (photography job ) I have worked with him over a year now ( yes its went in that fast ) so I’ve been pretty busy. I haven’t had a chance to even do my theme I was supposed to do this summer which makes me very sad… BUT… I will be continuing it this August hopefully!

I was working at a pony club camp final show yesterday and it was fun despite the thunder and also me coming across a half eaten animal with only its tail left ( which trust me was horrible ) I also have another couple of shows coming up which will be great and in August I will be going to work with Julia Shearwood and her team at Blair Castle horse trials which I’m looking forward too!

My friend Lara Whiteway was featured in a local magazine Live Preston and my photo was featured aswell which I was very happy about! I will try and update this as much as possible but I seem to be so busy. Here is a couple of photographs when I went to my friends yard a couple of weeks back!

Prom and Equine shoot.

June 13, 2011 § Leave a comment

On Thursday night I went to my friend Stephanie’s to photograph her before she went of to prom, she looked beautiful and her dress was absolutely stunning . I also had taken some photos of her friends too who looked beautiful aswell! She also wanted me to photograph her and her pony Mork which decided was going to be on the Sunday (depending on weather). The equine shoot was on Sunday and the rain stayed off which was good as we were both worried it wouldn’t. We used a lovely hayfield for our location as it was amazing with bright yellow butter cups. The owner of the yard is a photographer also and has some great lenses which he kindly let me borrow ( Thank you again Colin ) I used my 50mm for the first time which is such a tricky lens to get used to, though great quality! Most of the shoot I used Colin’s 24-70 which is a great lens and also his amazing 100-400 4.0 canon L series lens which I was so chuffed ( you have no idea ) with how they came out! I could cry and would like to steal that lens LOL. I never thought to this day I would ever use a lens like that with my 400d! The sharpness is amazing!

Here is some images from her prom night and also some previews of the equine shoot.

50mm set.

June 2, 2011 § 4 Comments

For the first time today I used my ‘nifty fifty’ 50mm 1.8 lens I purchased on Sunday which I am chuffed about. I will be using this lens most of the time for photoshoots etc. I haven’t had the chance to use it until today – as I have been working all week so it was great being able to eventually use it! There is a lane nearby where I stay and I decided to go down and see what I could capture and just testing out my new lens 🙂 I’m trying to expand my photography portfolio and trying new things out. I’m really pleased with the photographs and how great the lens is, to anyone who is thinking about buying one  I’d recommend it indeed!

Here is some photographs that I have edited, hope you enjoy the set.
